VIrtual tour in
a Co2 concrete factory

3. The Curing Chamber

Carbon dioxide reacts naturally with concrete. With Carbonaide technology, carbonisation that normally takes decades will happen in seconds.

The CO2 treatment takes place in the curing chamber during the hardening of the concrete products.

Gas-tight walls and doors

The Carbonaide carbon dioxide curing process is based on a gas-tight system and circulation where CO₂ concentration is constantly monitored.

The curing chamber has been upgraded with special gas-tight walls and doors.

Intelligent gas flow control

In the Carbonaide system, advanced gas flow control takes care of even distribution of carbon dioxide in the chambers. CO₂ flow management and monitoring are at the core of our operations.

Because of the intelligent management of gas flow, the system does not require high pressure of high concentration of CO2. All gas is safely recirculated, and the amount of CO₂ will never reach dangerous levels in the operational area.

Advanced safety system

An important point of the system design is that the system chambers and the ducts above the chambers are under pressure during processing compared to the atmosphere. This means that in case of potential leakage, the flow would be outside in, from the surroundings to the chamber.

The Carbonaide system constantly monitors potential leakages during operation. This allows both quick reactions in case of potential leakages and measuring the amount of lost CO₂ in life-cycle analysis.
